.ILLINOISTRAFFICOFFENSESRevised11-2008 Upon receipt in the Secretary of State's office, convictions for violations such as those listed in this pamphletwill be recorded on the respective driver's record. These violations can generally be defined as: *IMMEDIATEACTIONWill result in suspension or revocation of driver's license and/or privileges. *NON-POINTASSIGNEDMay be utilized in conjunction with other factors relating to the driver's privilege to operate motor vehicle, e.g., violation issued during period of suspension or revocation.POINTASSIGNED * Will result in suspension or revocation of driver's license and/or privileges when three or more offensesare committed within any 12-month period. The action is determined by the severity "points" of the violations and the driver's past record.* Will result in suspension or revocation of driver's license and/or privileges when driver under age commits two or more offenses within any 24-month period.
