.July 15, 2002 DRAFT Page of Quarterly Report 4: Little Muddy River Watershed Introduction This is fourth in series of quarterly reports to provide an update of Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) development in the Little Muddy River Watershed. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illinois EPA) is responsible for TMDL development and has contracted with Camp Dresser & McKee (CDM) to complete TMDLs within this watershed. Illinois EPA plans to complete the TMDLs for this watershed within the next five months. This quarterly repo rt provides brief description of progress since the last quarterly report. Policy Changes for TMDL Development During this quarter, the Illinois EPA changed its policy regarding developing TMDLs for parameters that do no have numeric water quality standards. The constituents without numeric water quality standards will be listed for causing impairment but reductions and allocations of these parameters in numeric TMDL will not be developed at this time.
