  • Appellate citation: No. 2-05-0482 (unpublished order under Supreme Court Rule 23). JUSTICE FITZGERALD delivered the judgment of the court, with opinion. Chief Justice Thomas and Justices Freeman, Kilbride, Garman, Karmeier, and Burke concurred in the judgment and opinion. In 2001, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Wheaton police department, the Du Page County sheriffs department and the Addison police department began a multiple jurisdiction narcotics investigation which eventually targeted mid-level drug dealers in other municipalities.
