Chief Justice Fitzgerald and Justices Freeman, Thomas, Kilbride, Karmeier, and Burke concurred in the judgment and opinion. A 2006 traffic stop by a Cook County deputy sheriff led to one charge against this defendant for aggravated driving under the influence of drugs while his license was revoked (also known as aggravated DUI) and one count of driving on a revoked license.
