Description
Report describes the study to characterize the hydrogeologic conditions at a portion of Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve, near the Village of Lemont, in Du Page County. Emerald Fen, a seep-fed wetland located near the southwest corner of the preserve, is a documented larval habitat for the federally-endangered Hine's emerald dragonfly. The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority is exploring the possibility of expanding the dragonfly habitat at a former fish farm at the southwest corner of the Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve.
