JUSTICE FREEMAN delivered he judgment the court, with opinion. Chief Justice Thomas and Justices Fitzgerald, Garman, Karmeier, and Burke concurred in the judgment and opinion. Justice Kilbride dissented, with opinion. OPINION Jake Vincent unsuccessfully petitioned for postjudgment relief pursuant to section 2-1401 of the Code of Civil Procedure (735 ILCS 5/2-1401 (West 002)) in he circ uit co urt of Co ok Co unty.
