.October 2006 The Biodiversity of Illinois Series of CD-ROMs is Back! The Biodiversity of Illinois series of CD-ROMs from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources' (IDNR) Division of Education has been revised and is ready for distribution. These CD-ROMs are field guides to more than 1,000 species that live in or migrate through our state. They contain photographs, life history information, sounds, Illinois range, endangered/threatened status and many more features. The revised versions feature more maps, more images, updated endangered/threatened species information and other features. All are networkable on an in-school network. The CD-ROMs are compatible with both PC and Macintosh computers. Biodiversity of Illinois, Volume I: Aquatic Habitats, Biodiversity of Illinois, Volume II: Woodland Habitats and Biodiversity of Illinois, Volume III: Prairie and Edge Habitats may be requested by teachers in writing on school letterhead.
