The Committee was created by statute in 1974 to represent the interests of employees with disabilities in Illinois state government. This pubication is their monthly newsletter. In this issue, there are articles on training classes/conferences on career advancement; the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission EEOC Final Report on Best Practices For the Employment of People with Disabilities In State Government; Department of Human Services, Division of Rehabilitation Services DHS/DRS , statewide Disability Mentoring Day; the success stories section; the Illinois Student Assistance Commission's continuing affirmative action efforts in cooperation with local agencies to reach and attract disabled job applicants; the second ICED Legislative Reception; announcement of "Workplace Technologies: A Guide for People with Disabilities, Businesses, & Vocational Service Professionals;" and a call for nominations for the 2006 Awards.
