2007 Illinois Crash Facts & Statistics (covers Jan.1, 2007-Dec. 31, 2007)
The Illinois Department of Transportation IDOT is committed to providing a safe travel environment for Illinois residents and other motorists traveling the states highways and local roads. The Illinois Crash Facts & Statistics includes data that illustrate these accomplishments and also provides information about key events in the history of traffic safety-related legislation. Also included, are summaries of motorcycle helmet usage and general information about programs and services offered by the Division of Traffic Safety.

29 Update: The Illinois Route 29 Design Study (2006, 3)
29 Update Newsletter #3 announces the scheduling of public hearings for the IL Route 29 Study and the availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement DEIS for review and comment. The newsletter describes the preferred alternative and includes a schematic map of the preferred alternative.

29 Update: The Illinois Route 29 Design Study (2009, 4 May)
29 Update Newsletter #4 announces the signing of the Final Environmental Impact Statement FEIS for the IL Route 29 Study. This final edition in the series gives an overview of design changes since the 1996 public meetings and outlines the next steps to occur for the study. The newsletter also notes where the FEIS can be reviewed and when comments are due.

This addendum created August 7, 2009 provides updates or corrections to the Manual for Fabrication of Precast Prestressed Concrete Products created December 2008.

Airport Road in Peoria County (2010, July 21)
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announces that Airport Rd. in Peoria County will be reduced to one lane on the bridge carrying traffic over the Union Pacific Railroad Wednesday, July 21st and Thursday, July 22nd. This is necessary for the setting of beams on the second half of the bridge.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 Program: Quality Plan (2009, September)
This Quality Plan outlines the controls, policies, procedures and requirements of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Management System at IDOT. The system is structured to comply with the conditions set forth in the Departments Quality Manual, the ISO 9001:2008 international standard and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

Annual Report to the General Assembly required by Section 5/4-201.16 of the Illinois Highway Code, FY 2009 (covers July 1, 2008-June 30, 2009)
This annual report reflects the rental of rights of way for Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2009 as managed by the Illinois Department of Transportation Bureau of Land Acquisition for construction of proposed highway projects as required by statute 605 ILCS 5/4-201.16.

Brussels Ferry Closing for River Flooding (2010, July 23)
The Illinois Department of Transportation announces the closure of Brussels Ferry due to flooding of Calhoun County Highway 1. Motorists should consider the Hardin Bridge or the Kampsville Ferry for access to southern Calhoun County during this period.

The Illinois Department of Transportation has reopened the Brussels Ferry today, following the reopening of Calhoun County Highway 1.
