2007 Illinois Crash Facts & Statistics (covers Jan.1, 2007-Dec. 31, 2007)
The Illinois Department of Transportation IDOT is committed to providing a safe travel environment for Illinois residents and other motorists traveling the states highways and local roads. The Illinois Crash Facts & Statistics includes data that illustrate these accomplishments and also provides information about key events in the history of traffic safety-related legislation. Also included, are summaries of motorcycle helmet usage and general information about programs and services offered by the Division of Traffic Safety.

29 Update Newsletter #3 announces the scheduling of public hearings for the IL Route 29 Study and the availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement DEIS for review and comment. The newsletter describes the preferred alternative and includes a schematic map of the preferred alternative.
29 Update: The Illinois Route 29 Design Study (2009, 4 May)
29 Update Newsletter #4 announces the signing of the Final Environmental Impact Statement FEIS for the IL Route 29 Study. This final edition in the series gives an overview of design changes since the 1996 public meetings and outlines the next steps to occur for the study. The newsletter also notes where the FEIS can be reviewed and when comments are due.

Bureau of Design and Environment Manual (2002)
The Illinois Department of Transportation's Central Bureau of Design and Environment shall publish and maintain a manual which establishes uniform policies and procedures for the location, design and environmental evaluation of highway construction projects on the state highway system. The purpose of this policy is to compile the policies and procedures which govern project location, design, and environmental evaluation into one comprehensive manual.

This manual establishes and compiles uniform policies and procedures for the location, design and environmental evaluation of highway construction projects on the local highway system. The hard copy version is in loose-leaf format for frequent updating.
Condition Rating Survey Manual / Illinois Department of Transportation (2004)
The Illinois Department of Transportation, through the Office of Planning and Programming, conducts a Condition Rating Survey CRS to assess pavement condition on its approximate 16,000 mile state highway system. This manual will provide information on the Condition Rating Survey process and is divided into four sections, the introduction and three pavement rating sections continuously reinforced concrete, jointed reinforced concrete, and bituminous surfaced . This manual replaces all former CRS Manuals.
