The Illinois Department of Transportation is committed to a policy of affirmative action and diversity and to work toward equal employment opportunities for underrepresented groups.

This is the Illinois Department of Transportation policy of affirmative action and diversity designed to work toward equal employment opportunities for underrepresented groups.The department has a diversity of employees within the workplace that represents a wide variety of groupings that include minority, non minority, males and females, young, senior and persons with disabilities. The recently created Professional Students with Disabilities Program, spearheaded by our ADA Specialist, DaveDailey, is quickly making vast improvements in this area.
