2008 State Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Plan: Report to the Governor and General Assembly (covers Oct 1, 2007-Sept 30, 2008)
This Strategic Plan is the core and primary plan of the Department. All other plans Chafee/ETV Plan, PSSF Strategic Plan, and the CAPTA Plan are an integral part of this plan and are intended to support it. 2008 is the first year the Prevention Plan is also the Annual Progress and Services Report.

The Criminal Justice Plan for the State of Illinois was unanimously adopted by the members of the Authority in June 2001. This issue of The Compiler takes a look at the Criminal Justice Plan and highlights some of the major initiatives the Authority and our partners have undertaken to achieve the plans goals and objectives.

Compiler, The (21 2003, 4 Winter)
Limitations in the collection and analysis of data made it difficult to track trends in victimization and direct resources to where they were most needed. This issue focuses on the InfoNet project, which has gained national recognition for deploying the latest technologies to enhance data collection and reporting efforts, while creating a unique set of victim service data which is not available anywhere else in the country. The Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault and the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence, with their member agencies across the state, have been the major partners in the development of InfoNet. The system allows agencies to confidentially gather case-level information on clients, including the victims circumstances, services provided, and details of court proceedings.

Compiler, The (22 2003, 3 Winter/Spring)
Methamphetamine is not the most commonly abused drug in Illinois, nor is it responsible for the most arrests. But it has quickly become the most dangerous and vexing problem for law enforcement in many rural areas, particularly in central and southern parts of the state. This issue of The Compiler focuses on methamphetamine in Illinois with articles on multijurisdictional drug units and the rising tide of meth labs in rural areas. In addition, there are columns on publications, research, grants and technology.

Evaluation of the Kankakee Metropolitan Enforcement Group
This publications is part of the "Research and program evaluation in Illinois: Studies on drug abuse and violent crime" series. In 1998, Justice Research Associates began a preliminary assessment of the Kankakee Metropolitan Enforcement Group to determine if there was substance for a full evaluation. This, the report of the evaluation, summarizes nearly two years of work evaluating the the Kankakee Metropolitan Enforcement Group unit. The evaluation included more than 100 observations of the unit, and nearly fifty interviews with police, sheriffs, community residents, key leaders, and representatives of the state's attorney's office. Justice Research Associates also examined all the Kankakee Metropolitan Enforcement Group overt unit arrest records, state's attorney records, and the chronic nuisance abatement enforcement records.

On Good Authority (3 2000, 8 May)
This On Good Authority presents a summary of the findings from process and impact evaluations of the Municipal Drug and Gang House Enforcement Pilot Program. The study was conducted by the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority on behalf of the Chicago Police Department.

On Good Authority (4 2000, 5 December)
This report is a summary of an implementation and impact program evaluation of the Kankakee Metropolitan Enforcement Group, which a specialized law enforcement unit that operates overtly in addressing citizenidentified problem areas and covertly in developing large-scale drug investigations.

On Good Authority (6 2003, 6 February)
Researchers from the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority and Loyola University Chicagos Criminal Justice Department developed and tested a methodology for comparing multi-jurisdictional drug unit efforts to those of local police departments. This On Good Authority summarizes the findings of this research project.
