Evaluation of the Implementation of Illinois Learning Standards: Year Four Report (2002, August)
The Evaluation of the Implementation of Illinois Learning Standards Project has been a four-year endeavor funded by the Illinois State Board of Education to assess the extent to which local districts are implementing Illinois Learning Standards, to identify factors which enhance or inhibit implementation, and to investigate the relationship between standards implementation and student achievement. The project began on January 18, 1999, and ended its fourth and final fiscal year of operation on August 20, 2002. This report contains the findings of the fourth and final year of the study and a summary for the entire grant period.

Illinois Charter School Annual Report {periodical start}
This report is submitted in compliance with Section 27A-12 of the Illinois Charter Schools Law 105 ILCS 5/27A-12 . The law requires that the report to the General Assembly: i. compare the performance of charter school pupils with the performance of ethnically and economically comparable groups of pupils in other public schools who are enrolled in academically comparable courses, ii. shall review information regarding the regulations and policies from which charter schools were released to determine if the exemptions assisted or impeded the charter school in meeting their stated goals and objectives, and iii. shall include suggested changes in State law necessary to strengthen charter schools.

Illinois Task Force on Growth Models: Report to the Illinois General Assembly January, 2007
In fulfillment of Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) 87, the Illinois Growth Model Task Force submitsthe attached report. The Task Force has completed its work with the submission of this report, which examines what other states are doing; provides information regarding an Illinois growth model proposal for the federal growth model pilot; explores the potential for a growth model to give a clearer, fairer picture of individual student progress, such as the progress of those students in alternative schools; and provides models that Illinois should consider.

Paraprofessional Test Preparation: Curriculum Guide
The Illinois Community College Board, in partnership with the Illinois State Board of Education, published the Paraprofessional Test Preparation Curriculum Guide to assist educators throughout Illinois in preparing paraprofessionals to meet the requirements of the No Child Left Behind federal legislation. The intent of the statewide curriculum is to provide consistent, quality preparation for all paraprofessionals in Illinois. There is no cost for the manual.
