Catalogue of Reports to the General Assembly (2000, covering Calendar Year 1999)
The School Code 105 ILCS 5/2-3.87 requires the State Board of Education to submit annually to the General Assembly and Governor a "catalogue containing each report which the State Board of Education was required to make during the preceding 12-month period to the General Assembly or to the General Assembly and Governor." During calendar year 1999, eighteen reports were submitted to the General Assembly in compliance with statutory provisions. Most of the reports contain multiple items on a variety of topical areas, which are useful to lawmakers in considering the effectiveness of educational programs. This catalogue identifies the material that was formally transmitted to meet legal requirements.

Early Learning Standards: Kindergarten
This final draft of the Illinois Early Learning Standards Kindergarten is a synthesis of their many views. The standards are organized to parallel in content the Illinois Learning Standards. Included are benchmarks for learning in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Physical Development and Health, Fine Arts, Foreign Language, and Social/Emotional Development. The goal of the standards is to provide teachers and caregivers useful information that is directly needed as part of their daily classroom work.

The Evaluation of the Implementation of Illinois Learning Standards (Reissued) Project is a four-year endeavor funded by the Illinois State Board of Education to assess the extent to which local districts are implementing Illinois Learning Standards, to identify factors which enhance or inhibit implementation, and to investigate the relationship between standards implementation and student achievement.
Evaluation of the Implementation of Illinois Learning Standards: Year Four Report (2002, August)
The Evaluation of the Implementation of Illinois Learning Standards Project has been a four-year endeavor funded by the Illinois State Board of Education to assess the extent to which local districts are implementing Illinois Learning Standards, to identify factors which enhance or inhibit implementation, and to investigate the relationship between standards implementation and student achievement. The project began on January 18, 1999, and ended its fourth and final fiscal year of operation on August 20, 2002. This report contains the findings of the fourth and final year of the study and a summary for the entire grant period.

The project began on January 18, 1999, and ended its third fiscal year of operation on June 30, 2001. This report contains the findings of the third year of the study.

This report to the Illinois State Board of Education summarizes findings and offers recommendations based on the first two years of operation. The study has two components: the Survey of Practitioners and the Qualitative component.
